One thought, badly composed

Decisions, decisions..

December the 31st - end of a year. Oddly enough 1st of January, the first day of a new year, lands in the middle of winter. Looks to me like someone just randomly picked a day. It would be much more logical to start the year in March, when the Earth awakens. But that's the thing. May may (pun intended)not be the same for me and someone on the southern hemisphere. And while I'm putting on the third pair of socks on my feet (number four standing by) some lucky koala lovers are soaking in the ocean. It's arbitrary.

Come to think of it, almost everything in our society (and others) is arbitrary. Whether Pluto is a planet or the largest of the Plutoids- arbitrary. Acceptable clothing and hairstyles - arbitrary. Except mullets, that shit's gotta go. Human rights (or privileges?)- extremely arbitrary.

So who do you listen to? Who do you believe to be right? Can one side be right? Are there in fact two sides of everything or are the nuances so complex and intertwined it's not possible to be completely right or wrong?

The unceirtanty of everything and the fact that any law, human or natural, can have exceptions makes me scared and amazed at the same time.

So tell me, is there or isn't there a possibility of a living pink unicorn? Multiverse, here I come..
